W invite you to join our webinar „Novel Coronavirus – The Impact on Life Insurance Mortality and Underwriting, and Related Modelling Challenges” on 15 June | 14:00 – 16:00 CEST. The registration fee for the webinar is € 100.00 plus 19 % VAT only.
The current pandemic due to COVID-19 raises many questions regarding the modelling of the propagation of a new virus, with specific characteristics, and with incomplete historical data. In this context of epidemics in an early stage, estimating the key parameters of the dynamics (infection rate, fatality rate) remains challenging, along with the resulting impact on life insurance.
This webinar will first provide a high-level presentation of the many issues related to COVID-19 that impact life insurer mortality. This will be followed with some early mortality experience and a discussion about the difficulties in using this data. The webinar will also provide with some ideas for changes to life insurance underwriting to help cope with COVID-19. Finally, the last part of the webinar will be dedicated to present and discuss the modelling challenges related to this pandemic.
